INAUGURAL INDIAN GIIC FORUM II

Following the success of the inaugural India Forum in London, this is the first of many events to be held in India.
An invitation-only Forum that will connect investors, corporates, development banks and government officials to present new ways of financing India’s development goals. Participants will hear about new sources of financing, the policy measures being pursued to support them, and the green infrastructure project pipelines becoming. We have invited participants to discuss potential green investments opportunities, primarily focused on bonds. The Forum is co-hosted with FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and the Bombay Stock Exchange.

ROUND TABLE WITH INDIA’S ENERGY EFFICIENCY SERVICES LIMITED (EESL)

Operating under the Indian Ministry of Power, EESL is a joint venture of four National Public Sector Enterprises with an overall pipeline of projects worth approximately USD 2b. EESL seeks to unlock the market of energy efficiency in India (estimated at USD 12b), through facilitation of market access and assisting private sector Energy Service Companies in replicating their successful business model.
This success is already evident in their LED replacement programmes across the domestic lighting and street lighting sector; the world’s largest without subsidy. EESL are keen to expand their networks in key geographies outside India so that they can collaborate and invest in best practices in the energy efficiency segment.
To that end, this round table will allow EESL to present their experiences in the Indian Energy Services sector and open up a discussion about potential partnerships.

Global investor associations and the Green Infrastructure Investment Coalition (GIIC), have stated their support for to the International Solar Alliance (ISA) objective of USD 1tn investment in photovoltaic power generation assets in member countries by 2030.
The joint goal is to create investment structures that meet the risk and yield requirements of institutional investors, and the promotion of suitable financial instruments that will accelerate investment in solar to the capital levels the International Solar Alliance is seeking to achieve.
